Situated in the picturesque Upper Nithsdale valley and only an hour from both Edinburgh and Glasgow, with regular train service from Sanquhar to Glasgow and connections to Edinburgh. "Nice warm welcome to this hotel, lovely staff and very helpful, room was comfy and ideal for my needs. Breakfasts were very nice too, shame I did not get to try the evening meals as heard they are really nice. Locals also made me feel welcome in the bar.
